WHAT TO EXPECT

PARKING

Free on street parking is available, as well as our two off street parking lots. The lots are located off of East Prospect Street.

ARRIVING

The main entrance to the Sanctuary (worship space) is located on the NE corner of South Broad and East Prospect Streets in downtown Nazareth, PA. There is also an entrance on East Prospect Street under the green awning. The Sanctuary is accessible using either entrance, by ramp and elevator. St. John’s Ambassadors are available to direct you and answer any questions you may have.

While the church doors are open during worship times, they are locked at other times for safety reasons. If you are visiting outside of worship times, we ask that you use the East Prospect Street door under the awning where there is a doorbell and you can be buzzed in.

ACCESSIBILITY

While our historic building contains many levels, the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and classrooms are all accessible by elevator and ramps. Accessible restrooms are available on most levels of the church.

CHURCH OFFICE

Our church office is open Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm and Friday from 8am to 12pm. The main office is located on the first floor of the building near the East Prospect Street awning entrance.

SUNDAY SERVICES

On most Sundays in September through May we have two worship services.

Our Contemporary Service at 9am is led by a Praise Team and features an upbeat time of connecting with God and each other through the use of contemporary Christian music.

Our Classic Service at 11am is a more traditional time of worship and prayer that features our choirs of all ages and both recent and well-loved hymns.

We encourage families to worship with us. We want little ones to be engaged while also promoting a feeling of being a part of our services. Therefore, we have activity bags in the back of the Sanctuary and a table, chairs and a rocker available on the side of our Sanctuary, in our DeRemer Gallery.

We offer Christian Formation (church school) groups and classes for preschool through adults from 10 to 10:45am most Sundays.

On Sundays in June through August we have one combined worship service at 9:30am. There is no Christian Formation during this time.

FELLOWSHIP

Following each worship service we have a time of fellowship in the DeRemer Gallery, which is located next to the sanctuary and is accessible by ramp. Light refreshments are served. This is a great time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. We’d love to see you there.

DRESS CODE

We don’t have a formal dress code. We ask that your choice of attire is respectful of others and does not contain disrespectful images or words. The important thing is your desire to participate in a community of God’s people who are dedicated to worship and serving God.
